Pregnancy Services -Caring Pregnancy Center of Estes Valley
Free and confidential services to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy. Does not counsel or refer for abortions. Pregnancy testing and advocacy are available in person or through a crisis telephone line (same number as above). Referrals for medical care, financial aid, parenting and adoption information and other community services are available and transportation can be provided to these services. In addition, maternity and baby clothes and furnishings are available.
Weight Loss Group - Caring Counseling Center
Women's weight loss group meets one time per week for support and education around self esteem, boundaries, assertiveness, spirituality and self care. Two levels available. Will provide one-on-one service to homebound.
New Directions Substance Abuse Program - Caring Counseling Center
Levels I and II ADAD-approved classes and counseling. May be court-ordered or volunteer participation. Groups or individual counseling, including family if necessary.
The Cancer Information Service (CIS)
The Cancer Information Service (CIS), a national information and education network, is a free public service of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the nation's primary agency for cancer research. The CIS telephone service provides confidential, personalized attention to each caller. CIS staff address cancer issues, including ways to prevent cancer, information on screening and early detection, diagnosis, current treatment options, and research studies and advances.
BRIGHT BEGINNINGS Moving On Program for One Year Olds
You are your child's most influential learning and communication partner! We want you to join us for our one-year old program. Our Moving On program celebrates the important second year of life, when so many things are happening. Our program concentrates on language development, school readiness, and other developmental issues that come up after a child's first birthday.
Volunteer Opportunities - Bright Beginnings/ Warm Welcome
Uses volunteers and partner agency staff, to arrange a free home or group visit for families with a newborn baby. Warm Welcome visit time is used to share professional, non-proprietary information about growth & development, learning games, guidance, child care, health & safety, and the many opportunities and resources in the community. Gift Bags include a book for baby, a toy, games to play with baby, and ideas that help parents succeed at the tough job of parenting. A program of the Poudre Valley Health System.
