Larimer Humane Society
Location
Serving the community since 1969, the Larimer Humane Society (LHS) provides shelter and medical care and lost and found services to displaced companion animals, and rehabilitation to injured and orphaned wild animals. Also offers pet adoption, dog training and behavior advice, humane education, and volunteer opportunities for adults and children. Through contractual animal control services with Fort Collins, Loveland and Larimer County, the Society provides 24-hour animal rescue, emergency veterinary treatment for injured stray animals, cruelty and neglect investigations, pet licensing, and public protection against aggressive or ill animals. The Larimer Humane Society is committed to maintaining 100 percent placement of adoptable animals, and relies on public support in order to create life-saving options for homeless pets.
