Provides toll-free information on sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to the general public. Health Communication Specialists are trained to convey accurate, basic information and referrals to free or low cost clinics nationwide.

It was reported in February 2005 that cancer deaths in the United States have declined - for the first time since 1930, the year our country began compiling statistics on the disease's toll.

Birthright of Fort Collins

Birthright began in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1968, when Louise Summerhill, a busy housewife and mother of seven children, felt something should be done to help women through an unplanned pregnancy. The grassroots response to her idea was overwhelming, and the Toronto chapter quickly grew into Birthright International, the world's first international crisis pregnancy service.

Berthoud Senior Center - Golden Links

The Berthoud Senior Center acts as a link (Golden Link) for seniors in the Berthoud community. Some of the activities that the center provides for seniors are; field trips, nutritional lunches, cooking classes, aerobic classes, senior dances, transportation, hearing tests, medicare assistance and a variety of health screening.

Over a thousand Red Cross chapters were chartered that year. March 20 -- A charter was issued to a Larimer County Chapter with headquarters in Fort Collins.
